Conventional grinders cannot always reach confined or awkward workspaces. The PCL APM500 is a palm-sized mini angle grinder designed to provide access to small areas unreachable by standard grinders, accepting a 50 mm (2") disc and running at 16,500 rpm free speed.
The APM500 is compact and lightweight at 0.4 kg, designed for maximum operator control and consistent performance. A rear exhaust directs airflow away from the work area, keeping the operator's line of sight clear. The high-power motor delivers dependable output, and PCL describe the tool as ideal for smart repairers.
The grinder connects via a 1/4" air inlet and requires a maximum hose size of 3/16 in (4.8 mm). Air consumption is 8.5 cfm (240.8 l/min) at a free speed of 16,500 rpm. Vibration is rated at 5.7 m/s² and sound level at 81 dBa.
The APM500 is manufactured by PCL, part of HORNGROUP, in Sheffield, UK, where PCL has been producing compressed-air equipment since 1938.
