Exocet Sludgebuster is a tank, pipework and vessel cleaner, supplied here in the 1 litre pack. It is for systems where fuel, oil or other hydrocarbon contamination and solids build-up have become a problem, and it is particularly suited to tanks carrying biodiesel deposits.
It contains concentrated hydrocarbon deposit control and dispersant chemistry, with broad-spectrum solvent washing capability, and it disperses agglomerated biodiesel dropout products rapidly. Left alone it will disperse the products of biodiesel dropout and restore free fuel flow. It is a cleaner rather than a fuel treatment, so it is dosed into the fuel or carrier fluid as a means of getting the chemistry onto the surfaces that need cleaning. Where tanks have been standing, or where biodiesel content has dropped out of the fuel, that build-up is what restricts flow.
Dose at 1 litre to 1,000 litres of fuel. Add it to the bulk fuel or other carrier fluid and, where possible, circulate it through the tank being cleaned for a number of hours - which makes it well suited to use with fuel polishing or filtration equipment. It can also be used with professional pressure washing equipment. Use it where solids are building in tank bottoms, walls and associated pipework.
