Exocet Marine Fuel Conditioner is a multi-functional additive package for gas oil and marine gas oils, supplied here in the 50ml pack. It covers all grades of distillate marine fuel - DMA, DMB, DMX and DMZ - used in high speed diesel engines.
It is formulated to improve and upgrade fuel quality, allowing for the decrease in fuel sulphur content and providing protection against contamination with FAME. It increases fuel shelf life and inhibits tank sludge formation, prevents microbiological growth, promotes a clean fuel system and inhibits injector fouling, and promotes fuel-water separation to prevent water carrying over to the engine. Marine tanks are a demanding case: fuel often sits between passages, and distillate grades carry the same sulphur reduction and FAME exposure as land fuels without the turnover that keeps a tank healthy. The conditioner is aimed at both the fuel and the tank it sits in.
Each 1 litre bottle treats up to 2,000 litres of fuel, added to bulk storage or directly into the vessel tank. Reach for it where a vessel lacks pulling power or runs rough, where excessive smoke is showing, where fuel filters block continually, or where sludge is building in the tanks.
