Exocet Future Fuels + is a performance additive for paraffinic fuels to BS EN15940, supplied here in the 5 litre pack. That specification covers the two fuels commonly known as GTL and HVO.
Paraffinic fuels bring cleaner combustion but less lubricity than mineral diesel. Future Fuels + increases fuel lubricity, protecting fuel pumps and injectors against premature wear. It reduces deposit formation, keeping injectors clean, preventing injector sticking and over-fuelling, maintaining spray pattern and preventing nozzle coking in older engines. It resists water pick-up, preventing emulsions and the filter blockages that follow, and protects against corrosion. Its dispersant effect disperses soft particles, including biodiesel precipitates, which prevents filter blocking where paraffinic fuels are mixed with FAME-containing fuel.
Dose at 1 litre of additive to 2,000 litres of fuel, added to bulk storage or directly into the vehicle tank. Use it where extra lubrication is needed in fuel injection equipment and pumps, where paraffinic fuel may be mixed with FAME-containing mineral diesel, and where injector deposits need minimising and power maintaining. Typical use is alongside a switch to HVO or GTL, where the fuel is cleaner burning but the injection equipment still needs the lubricity that mineral diesel used to provide.
