BG Ethanol Fuel System Defender® (213E, 325ml) is a petrol fuel additive that inhibits the free radical oxidation mechanism which causes ethanol-containing petrol to degrade. Ethanol-blended fuels such as E10 — now the standard grade of petrol in the UK — are prone to oxidative degradation that produces varnish and gum deposits in the fuel system, particularly during periods of infrequent use.
BG Ethanol Fuel System Defender® keeps intake valves, fuel injectors and combustion chambers clean by preventing ethanol-related deposit formation. It also contains a corrosion inhibitor to protect metal fuel system components from the corrosive effects of ethanol, and a moisture dispersant to prevent water separation in fuel — a common issue with ethanol-blended fuels in storage or seasonal-use vehicles.
Add to the petrol fuel tank every 3,000–5,000 miles (approximately 4,800–8,000 km). Suitable for all petrol engines including those affected by the switch to E10 fuel. Available also in 177ml (SKU: 2136).

It inhibits the oxidation mechanism that causes ethanol petrol to degrade, keeping intake valves, injectors and combustion chambers clean, and includes a corrosion inhibitor and moisture dispersant for ethanol-related issues.
A. Pour the 213E-PK2 directly into the petrol fuel tank — every 3,000 to 5,000 miles (4,800 to 8,000 km) as stated on the product label. Drive normally and the additive circulates through the fuel system. No workshop equipment is required.
