Q 1. What does the BG CT2 Cooling System Service do?

A. The CT2 service uses the BG CT2 coolant transfusion system to install new 50/50 coolant while simultaneously removing worn-out coolant. Most vehicles can be serviced with the engine off — preventing the intermixing of new and used coolant that occurs as the thermostat opens and closes, and reaching parts of the cooling system that are not accessible during normal coolant flow.

Q 2. When is the BG CT2 service typically performed?

A. The CT2 service is performed at the coolant change interval noted in the vehicle handbook (usually 4 to 6 years), or sooner if symptoms suggest cooling system deposits — running hot, slow heater response, or visible discolouration in the expansion tank. Many garages include it in major service inspections.

Q 3. Is the BG CT2 service safe for aluminium engines?

A. The CT2 service is a complete fluid exchange — the BG coolant transfusion system is designed for use across vehicles requiring coolant exchange, including modern cooling systems with aluminium components. Always use the coolant grade specified by the vehicle manufacturer for the refill.

Q 4. Which vehicles is the BG CT2 cooling service for?

A. The CT2 service covers passenger cars and light commercial vehicles with conventional pressurised cooling systems. The procedure is workshop-applied through BG service equipment. For specialist plant, agricultural, or marine cooling systems, the procedure may need adjustment — contact the trade desk first.

Q 5. Can I buy a single CT2 or do I need a case?

A. The CT2 is supplied as the workshop service kit. Single-unit and full-case ordering routes are listed on the product page — case buyers benefit from the bulk discount. Confirm exact case quantity with the trade desk when placing the order.

Q 6. What if the part doesn't fit or arrives damaged?

A. Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase, in original packaging, on orders delivered within the UK. For items damaged on arrival, report within 24 hours with photos to [email protected] — we will arrange collection and replacement at no cost. The Fit Guarantee covers hassle-free returns for parts that don't fit. Refunds go to the original payment method once inspected.

Q 7. How quickly will I get my order and where do you deliver?

A. Delivery time depends on the product, your destination, and availability — the estimated time for any item appears on the product page, and 'Check where we deliver' confirms coverage for your postcode before you order. Next-day delivery is available on most products; the option appears at checkout when applicable. We deliver across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Use the country selector at checkout to confirm coverage and delivery options for your destination.
