Standard engine oil formulations provide a defined level of anti-wear and lubrication performance, but operating conditions — including cold starts, extended drain intervals, high revving, and turbocharged operation — place demands on the oil film that exceed the baseline additive package. Over time, the additive package depletes between services, leaving engine components with reduced protection.
Astratech Petrol Engine Oil Fortifier (PA03, 250ml) is an engine oil additive formulated to enhance the protective properties of existing petrol engine oil. Added to the engine oil at any point in the service interval, it reinforces the oil's anti-wear, friction-reduction, and film-strength properties, providing additional protection for pistons, rings, cam lobes, and valve train components. Particularly beneficial in high-mileage engines and vehicles used in demanding driving conditions.
Suitable for all petrol engines. Supplied in cases of 12 x 250ml.

A. The PA03 is a petrol oil conditioner — added to the engine oil, it prevents oxidation and thickening of the oil even under intense driving conditions, keeps ring seats, hydraulic lifters and other engine components clean, and reduces friction. Helps extend engine life and maintain peak performance. Compatible with all synthetic and non-synthetic engine oils.
A. Add the PA03 to fresh engine oil at service so the fortifier is present throughout the oil's service life. The treatment prevents the oil from oxidising and thickening between changes — particularly useful in engines that see intense driving conditions or longer service intervals.
A. The PA03 is an oil-side fortifier — it works in the engine oil and is not introduced into the exhaust path, so catalytic converters, GPF, DPF and EGR equipment are not exposed to it. The additive leaves the engine when the oil is changed.
A. The PA03 is specifically formulated for petrol engines — for diesel applications, see the PA04 Diesel Oil Conditioner. Suitable for all petrol engines on passenger cars and light commercials.
A. The PA03 bottle is 250 ml. One bottle is the standard dose for a single engine treatment up to the engine size noted on the label. For larger commercial engines or specialist applications, check the label or contact the trade desk for the correct dose rate.
