Modern diesel engines operate under high combustion pressures and temperatures, particularly in turbocharged common-rail applications where the oil must lubricate not only the engine but also the turbocharger bearing assembly and high-pressure fuel pump components. As the oil additive package depletes between service intervals, protection at these critical points is progressively reduced.
Astratech Diesel Engine Oil Fortifier (PA04, 250ml) is an oil additive formulated to reinforce the protective properties of diesel engine oil. Added to the engine oil, it enhances anti-wear performance, strengthens the oil film under high-pressure and high-temperature conditions, and provides additional protection for turbocharger bearings, camshaft lobes, and fuel pump drive components.
Suitable for all diesel engines including common-rail direct injection (CRDI) and turbocharged applications. Supplied in cases of 12 x 250ml.

The PA04 is a diesel-specific oil conditioner — added to the engine oil, it neutralises acids and acid corrosion, reduces friction and wear on engine parts, stabilises viscosity, and prevents sludge through proprietary Soot Scatter technology that controls soot abrasion. Maintains diesel engine power and performance over the service interval.
A. Add the PA04 to fresh engine oil at service to maintain oil performance throughout the service interval. The conditioner neutralises combustion-by-product acids and controls soot wear from the moment it is added — particularly beneficial in modern high-output diesels.
A. The PA04 is an oil-side conditioner — it works in the engine oil and does not pass into the exhaust, so emissions hardware (catalytic converter, DPF, EGR) is not exposed to it. The additive leaves the engine when the oil is changed.
