Shell Gadus S5 V460 2 (formerly Shell Albida Grease HLS 2 and Shell Albida MPS) is an ultra-premium heavy-duty multi-purpose grease for high-temperature service. The product combines the Shell Gadus S5 ultra-premium chemistry with heavy ISO VG 460 base oil and the standard bearing-grade NLGI 2 consistency — suiting heavily loaded slow-speed bearings in steel mills, cement plants, mining and other heavy-industrial applications.
The NLGI 2 consistency is the standard bearing-grade grease consistency.
As with all greases, follow the equipment manufacturer's regreasing schedule and avoid mixing with greases of incompatible thickener type — incompatible thickeners can cause softening, hardening or separation of the grease in service. Store greases sealed in the original packaging, at moderate temperatures and away from direct sunlight, to preserve consistency and additive performance.
Shell Gadus S5 V460 2 is a multipurpose extreme pressure lithium complex grease for a wide range of bearing lubrication applications. It is based on high viscosity synthetic base oil, PAO, and lithium complex soap thickener with the latest in additive technology.
