Oil FinderShell Gadus S2 V220AC 2 (formerly Shell Alvania Grease WR 2, Shell Alvania HD 2 and Shell Retinax HD 2) in the 50kg keg is supplied for workshop bulk service. It is a multi-purpose extreme-pressure grease with enhanced anti-corrosion properties — the 'AC' designation indicates the Anti-Corrosion variant of the Shell Gadus S2 V220 range, suiting outdoor and water-exposed bearings, marine equipment and automotive wheel bearings.
The NLGI 2 consistency is the standard bearing-grade grease consistency.
Approvals and performance levels include ASTM D4950 (automotive grease classification) and ASTM D2596 (extreme-pressure load-wear).
For smaller workshops, Shell Gadus S2 V220AC 2 is also available in an 18kg keg (PRD00004076).
As with all greases, follow the equipment manufacturer's regreasing schedule and avoid mixing with greases of incompatible thickener type — incompatible thickeners can cause softening, hardening or separation of the grease in service. Store greases sealed in the original packaging, at moderate temperatures and away from direct sunlight, to preserve consistency and additive performance.
