Shell Gadus S1 V220 2 is a lithium multi-purpose grease for general industrial and automotive bearing lubrication. The product is positioned within the entry-level Shell Gadus S1 range, combining a lithium soap thickener with ISO VG 220 base oil — a heavier base-oil viscosity than the more common S1 V160 grade.
The NLGI 2 consistency is the standard bearing-grade grease consistency.
Approvals and performance levels are positioned within the standard NLGI 2 lithium-soap multi-purpose EP grease class — verify the specific OEM-approval set against the current product label.
Shell Gadus S1 V220 2 is also available in a 50kg keg (PRD00004104) for workshop bulk supply.
As with all greases, follow the equipment manufacturer's regreasing schedule and avoid mixing with greases of incompatible thickener type — incompatible thickeners can cause softening, hardening or separation of the grease in service. Store greases sealed in the original packaging, at moderate temperatures and away from direct sunlight, to preserve consistency and additive performance.
