Shell Omala S2 GX 460 in the 209-litre drum is supplied for workshop bulk service. It is a high-quality extreme-pressure (EP) oil for industrial gearboxes, providing extra protection against oxidation, load-carrying capacity, micropitting protection, and compatibility with seals and paints.
The ISO VG 460 viscosity grade is positioned for heavily loaded slow-speed industrial gearboxes — large geared drives in steel mills, paper mills, mining and other heavy-industrial plants.
Approvals and performance levels include DIN 51517 Part 3 (CLP).
For single-machine service, Shell Omala S2 GX 460 is also available in a 20-litre pack (PRD00004213).
This drum format is suited to workshop bulk supply, fleet service and high-throughput dispensing via a workshop pump or filtration cart. Store the drum on its side in a bunded area, with the bung uppermost to limit moisture and contamination ingress around the fitting.
