The Haztec 8-8114-V90 is a 12V siren and PA amplifier with variable volume control that has a minimum limit of 90dBA - the same specification as the 8-8114-V, but with the volume floor set so output cannot be turned down below 90dBA.
Its feature set is built for operational driving. Horn ring transfer lets the driver start, stop or change siren tone from the vehicle horn, and can be configured to disable normal horn operation while the siren is active. An A/B mode switch sets whether the horn steps to the next tone or gives a 5 second tone change - the pattern Haztec recommends for junctions and obstructions.
An optional interlock prevents the siren activating without the warning lights on, supporting compliant use, and a 95% power output option extends speaker life. The connector design prevents incorrect insertion during installation.
The 90dBA minimum matters for fleets whose operating procedures require a guaranteed audible warning level: operators keep volume adjustment for PA and situational use, but the siren cannot be inadvertently silenced below the floor. Pair with Haztec speakers rated at or above the amplifier's output.
