The Haztec 8-83004 is the four-module ModuLux controller system - the largest format in Haztec's modular button platform, for vehicles whose warning equipment needs the widest control surface.
Configurations follow the family pattern: 8-83004-xxxx combines four 4 or 6 button modules in layout order, and the LCD-inclusive versions (8-83004-xxLCDx and 8-83004-xLCDxx) place the screen module in a centre position, never at an end, per Haztec's configuration rule. Haztec's illustrated example, the 8-83004-6664, combines three 8-83106 six-button modules with an 8-83104 four-button module in a slim assembly with a 56.5mm side profile.
A four-module system can therefore carry up to twenty-four buttons - enough to give every lighting zone, siren function and auxiliary its own control without paging through menus. The 8-85004 surface mount plinth is the matching mounting accessory, and as with every ModuLux system at least one interface kit must be ordered to link the control surface to the switched equipment.
If dash space is the constraint, the two and three module systems (8-83002/8-83003) carry the same modules in narrower assemblies, and because the module hardware is shared, a system can be reconfigured as requirements change rather than replaced.
