Cutting perfectly round, accurate holes in a wide range of materials demands a blade capable of sustained heavy-duty performance. The Draper 34765 HSS bi-metal holesaw is a variable pitch, high-speed steel blade designed for cutting wood, steel, brass, bronze, cast iron, aluminium and plastic to a maximum depth of 35mm (1-3/8"). The blade is constructed from high-quality alloy steel body with a hardened M3 steel cutting edge that is welded to the body a method that reduces the risk of shattering and yields a durable hardwearing tool suited to repeated use in stubborn materials. Four side slots aid slug removal and keep the cut clear whilst a female threaded spindle accepts a 9.5mm arbor for straightforward attachment to a power drill enabling a fast clean cutting action. The variable pitch tooth geometry is well suited to cutting metals including cast iron and non-ferrous alloys. When undertaking metal cutting use of a cutting lubricant is advisable to prolong service life; Draper Stock No. 76109 Metal Cutting Lubricant (400ml) is a compatible option referenced in the product documentation. The 65mm diameter suits common bore sizes encountered in professional workshop and installation applications.
