A hose that weeps at the joint wastes fluid, invites grime and eventually strands the machine it serves.
The HGZ100BG is a Hi-Grip worm drive clip adjusting between 80-100mm. Its band edges are fully rounded to protect the hose, and the hex screw is cold-headed and work-hardened with rolled threads, so it resists slipping or rounding under the driver. Tighten incrementally to the recommended 6.0 Nm (54 lb-in); over-tightening is what damages hoses. The range is manufactured to exceed BS5315 and carries the BSI Kitemark and NATO approval.
The band is mild steel, heavily electro zinc plated, passivated and tested to EN9227 - JCS's general purpose specification for domestic, automotive and industrial duty away from salt and standing moisture. One clip covers a wider span than a typical nut-and-bolt clamp, so fewer sizes cover more hoses. Seat it centrally over the barb when fitting.
Also available - the same clip as a bulk pack (HGZ100BP); the 70-90mm size (HGZ90BG); the 90-120mm size (HGZ120BG); a 304 stainless version in the same size and pack (HGS100BG).
The larger adjustment range per size means one JCS clip covers spans that would take two ordinary nut-and-bolt clamps.

A. It adjusts between 80-100mm. Measure the outside diameter of your hose when fitted over its pipe or fitting - if that measurement falls within 80-100mm, this clip fits. JCS clips offer a larger adjustment range per size than typical nut-and-bolt clamps. In imperial terms that is roughly 3 1/8 to 3 15/16 in, covering common 3 1/2 in hose sizes.
A. For this size band JCS publishes a recommended torque of 6.0 Nm (54 lb-in). Work up to it gradually with the clip seated centrally on the barb; going past it risks damaging the hose rather than improving the seal.
A. JCS electro zinc plates and passivates the mild steel band after it is cut to size, so even the cut edges carry coating - and the finish is tested to EN9227. That suits dry and general duty; once salt or standing moisture is involved, the stainless range is the correct specification.
A. No - JCS itself cautions that zinc-coated clamps can quickly corrode or seize around salt water. The marine specification is Hi-Grip Stainless: 18/8 304 stainless throughout, with Lloyd's Register Type Approval.
