Worm drive clips seal by drawing the band evenly through a captive screw housing, and the HGZ80BG adds the JCS details that make that reliable - a 60-80mm adjustment span, a cold-headed, work-hardened hex screw with rolled threads that will not round off, and fully rounded band edges. Recommended tightening torque for this size is 6.0 Nm (54 lb-in). Manufactured to exceed BS5315, Kitemarked and NATO approved.
Made from heavily electro zinc plated and passivated mild steel, tested to EN9227, it suits general purpose work in non-corrosive environments - domestic, automotive and industrial hose connections. Measure the outside diameter of the hose when fitted and choose the clip whose range covers it. JCS supplies leading agricultural machinery manufacturers, and the same clips serve garden machinery, workshop and light industrial pipework.
Also available - the same clip as a bulk pack (HGZ80BP); the 50-70mm size (HGZ70BG); the 70-90mm size (HGZ90BG); a 304 stainless version in the same size and pack (HGS80BG).
The larger adjustment range per size means one JCS clip covers spans that would take two ordinary nut-and-bolt clamps.

JCS clips offer a larger adjustment range per size than typical nut-and-bolt clamps. In imperial terms that is roughly 2 3/8 to 3 1/8 in, covering common 2 1/2 and 3 in hose sizes.
A. JCS recommends 6.0 Nm (54 lb-in) for this size. Position the clip centrally over the hose barb and tighten incrementally to that torque - over-tightening can damage the hose.
