Where maximum vibration isolation takes priority over load restraint, the RSM284-45-45 rectangular sandwich mount delivers: a 45 Shore A rubber grade engineered to absorb and attenuate low-frequency vibration whilst allowing the greatest deflection within this geometry's range. With a rated load capacity of 300 kg and a deflection rate of 3 mm/kg, this soft-grade mount is purposefully specified for lighter or sensitive equipment where movement under load is an asset rather than a liability, decoupling the mounted item from structure-borne vibration more effectively than firmer grades can achieve at equivalent loads. Constructed using rubber-to-metal bonding throughout, the RSM284-45-45 integrates a 127 mm length (A), 57 mm width (B) and 43 mm height (C) rubber sandwich element with metal end plates dimensioned at 84 mm (D) and 108 mm (E), with an 11 mm plate thickness (F) and 5 mm rubber bond depth (G). This bonded construction ensures the rubber element remains captive under all loading conditions. The mount may be loaded in shear, compression or a combination of both, giving installation engineers flexibility in orientation to suit the equipment and structure in question. A high-quality rubber compound moulded in between two metal flanges with a secondary metal interleaf bonded into the rubber section. The metal interleaf increases the maximum load capacity of the mountings, meaning they are capable of withstanding significantly higher loads.
