Soft-grade vibration isolation is the defining characteristic of the 2020FFB06-45 Female Flat Buffer, a 20 x 20 mm rubber-to-metal bonded unit with an M6 female thread and a 45 Shore A hardness rating. At this hardness grade, the buffer delivers maximum deflection under load, 5.0 mm at up to 26.5 kg. Making it the appropriate choice wherever vibration absorption takes priority over stiffness or restraint. Rubber-to-metal bonded construction gives this buffer its structural integrity whilst allowing the soft compound to absorb and dissipate energy efficiently. The 45 Shore A grade produces greater movement under load than harder grades of the same geometry, which translates directly into superior isolation performance at the lighter end of the load range. The female thread configuration simplifies installation, enabling direct fastening to a threaded stud or bolt without additional hardware. This buffer is well suited to lighter or compact equipment, sensitive instrumentation mounts, and applications where lower-frequency vibration isolation is the primary requirement rather than load-bearing or shock restraint. Typical industries served by this family include construction and off-highway, agriculture, power generation, marine, railway and mass transit, and automotive. Where oil-resistant or high-temperature rubber compounds are needed, or where a non-standard size is required, custom variants are available on request. For applications demanding a firmer response or higher load capacity within the same 20 x 20 mm M6 form factor, the 60 Shore A grade (2020FFB06-60) and 70 Shore A grade (2020FFB06-70) are available.
