The M8 male stud (d1 x L: M8 x 20) and M8 female thread (d2: M8) allow straightforward in-line fitment across a wide variety of mounting configurations. As a 60 Shore A medium-hardness mount, this bobbin occupies the broad middle ground between soft isolation-focused grades and firm, high-load variants. The rubber-to-metal bonded construction enables loading in shear, compression, or a combination of both, giving engineers flexibility when routing or orientating the mount within a chassis or frame. The medium hardness delivers meaningful attenuation of vibration and shock without the greater deflection characteristic of softer grades, maintaining positional stability for instruments, light industrial machinery, and moderate-duty equipment. Applications drawn from the family source include air-conditioning units, exhaust mountings, instruments, and general industrial machinery and equipment. Sectors such as power generation, agriculture, automotive, marine, and construction and off-highway all feature installations where this load-and-deflection profile meets everyday service demands. This mount is available in alternative hardness grades for the 30x20mm male-female geometry: 45 Shore A (3020MF20-45) and 70 Shore A (3020MF20-70).
Male Female Bobbin Mounts referred to as Type B Bobbin or Type 2 Bobbins. They are a low-cost solution to reducing vibration & shock and are used in applications where a bolt fixing is required. They can be used in either Shear of Compression or a combination of both and can be produced with different thread variations. Many additional sizes are also offered, and the Bobbins can also be produced in Stainless Steel and Oil Resistant & High Temperature rubber compounds.
