The 6-point contact geometry transmits drive force directly onto the flats of the fastener, reducing the risk of rounding and providing a secure, controlled engagement. Finished with a black phosphate coating, the socket resists corrosion in demanding workshop and industrial environments. Designed for use with electric or pneumatic impact wrenches fitted with a 3/4 inch square drive, this 24mm socket is supplied complete with a pin and ring retaining system to keep it securely seated during operation. The safety note from Draper is worth observing: only impact-rated sockets and accessories should ever be used with air or electric powered wrenches. Chrome vanadium sockets are not suitable for impact use and can shatter under the loads involved, presenting a serious risk of personal injury.
