Each socket is forged from chrome molybdenum steel, then hardened and tempered to optimise strength and toughness throughout. A chemical blacking finish is applied to provide corrosion protection, extending service life in workshop environments where moisture and cutting fluids are present. The 6-point contact geometry maximises the contact area between socket and fastener, reducing the risk of rounding fastener heads during high-torque removal operations. This makes the socket particularly well suited to stubborn or corroded fasteners where maximum torque transfer is required. Supplied as a single socket with a 3/8" square drive and a 9mm opening, this item is compatible with the full range of 3/8" drive air, electric, and manual impact wrenches.
