This Draper 5556 extension bar is forged from hardened chrome molybdenum steel, giving it the toughness required to withstand the high-torque, high-shock loads generated by impact tooling without distortion or fracture. The bar features a black phosphate finish, which provides a layer of corrosion protection suited to workshop environments where tools are exposed to moisture, oils, and general contamination. The PFM description further confirms the bar is hardened, tempered, and chemically blacked as part of the same corrosion-resistance treatment. Fitted with a 1 inch square drive, the bar is compatible with 1 inch drive impact sockets and impact wrenches. It is supplied complete with a pin and ring retaining system to secure the socket during use. The bar measures 150 mm in length and is sold as a single unit.
