The Draper 5557 is a 1" square drive impact extension bar measuring 250 mm, forged from hardened and tempered chrome molybdenum steel to withstand the repeated shock loads generated by electric and pneumatic impact wrenches. The bar receives a chemical blacking treatment — also described as a black phosphate finish — which provides corrosion protection across the entire surface, making it suitable for workshop environments where tools are exposed to moisture, oils and contaminants. The drive end is secured with a supplied pin and ring retainer, which locks sockets firmly in place during high-torque impact operations and reduces the risk of accidental socket ejection. Rated as Expert Quality, this extension bar is supplied individually (sold loose) and is compatible with 1" square drive impact wrenches. It is designed for professional workshop and industrial use where a robust, corrosion-resistant extension bar in the 250 mm length is required.
