The Draper HI-TORQ® 6 Point Impact Socket (1/4" Sq. Dr., 6mm) addresses this directly: it is forged from chrome molybdenum steel, then hardened, tempered, and chemically blacked to deliver both the toughness needed for impact use and reliable corrosion protection in workshop environments. The 6 point socket geometry provides full, even contact across the fastener flats, reducing the risk of rounding and concentrating drive force precisely where it is needed. This design is particularly well suited to stubborn or corroded fasteners encountered in automotive and industrial maintenance tasks. Compatible with 1/4" square drive air, electric, or manual impact wrenches, this socket is supplied display packed and represents Draper's Expert Quality standard within the HI-TORQ® range. It is important to note that only impact-rated sockets and accessories should be used with powered impact wrenches; chrome vanadium sockets must never be substituted, as they can fracture and cause injury.
