Heavy-duty impact work demands sockets built to withstand the high-torque output of powered wrenches, and the Draper HI-TORQ® 6 Point Impact Socket (1" Sq. Dr., 70mm) is forged specifically for that purpose. Manufactured from chrome molybdenum steel that has been hardened, tempered, and chemically blacked, each socket combines the toughness needed to absorb shock loading with a black phosphate finish that provides corrosion protection in demanding workshop environments. The 6-point socket geometry engages fasteners cleanly and reduces the risk of rounding, making it well suited to the consistent, repetitive torque cycles associated with air, electric, or manual impact wrenches with a 1" square drive. Supplied with a pin and ring retaining system to secure the socket securely to the drive tool during use. As a safety note, only impact-rated sockets should be used with air or electric powered wrenches. Standard chrome vanadium sockets are not designed for impact use and must never be substituted, as they can shatter under impact loading and cause personal injury. Each socket is supplied individually in a polythene bag with barcode.
