The Draper Hi-TORQ® 6-point impact socket addresses this by being forged from hardened chrome molybdenum steel, a material chosen specifically for its toughness and resistance to the cyclic stresses generated by electric and pneumatic impact wrenches. The 6-point socket geometry concentrates driving force on the flat faces of the fastener rather than its corners, reducing the risk of rounding under load — a critical advantage when breaking out seized or heavily torqued fixings. The black phosphate finish provides a degree of corrosion protection suited to workshop and site environments where tools are regularly exposed to moisture, oils, and contaminants. Fitted with a 1" square drive, this socket is compatible with electric or pneumatic impact wrenches using that drive size. The 46mm size positions it for heavy-duty automotive, plant, and industrial applications where large-diameter fasteners are commonplace. Each socket is supplied complete with a ring and pin retaining system to secure it to the drive tool during use.
