Each socket is forged from chrome molybdenum steel, then hardened and tempered to deliver the strength and toughness required under repeated impact loading. The 6-point contact geometry distributes force evenly across the fastener flats, reducing the risk of rounding on stubborn or corroded fixings. The deep profile provides the reach needed to engage fasteners that standard-depth sockets cannot access, making this socket particularly well suited to recessed or stud-mounted applications. A chemical blacking treatment provides corrosion protection, preserving serviceability in workshop and under-vehicle environments. This socket accepts a 3/8" square drive and is sized at 12mm.
