The Draper HI-TORQ® 6 Point Deep Impact Socket (SKU 5187) is forged from chrome molybdenum steel, then hardened, tempered and chemically blacked to provide corrosion protection in demanding workshop environments. The 6-point internal profile engages the full flat of a fastener hex, concentrating drive force across a wider contact area and reducing the risk of rounding. The deep reach of the socket accommodates fasteners seated below the surface or on extended studs, making it a practical choice for suspension, drivetrain and general mechanical work. Fitted to a 1/4" square drive, this 9mm socket is compatible with 1/4" drive impact wrenches and ratchets. The chemical blacking finish provides a degree of corrosion resistance suited to professional workshop use. Important safety note: only impact-rated sockets and accessories should be used with air or electric powered wrenches. Never use silver chrome vanadium sockets in this application, as they can shatter under impact and cause personal injury. Supplied display packed as a single unit.
