The Draper HI-TORQ® 6 Point Deep Impact Socket (SKU 5148) is forged from chrome molybdenum steel, hardened, tempered, and chemically blacked to deliver both the structural integrity required for impact use and reliable corrosion protection in demanding workshop environments. The 6-point socket geometry provides full contact across each flat of the fastener, reducing the risk of rounding under load. The deep profile accommodates longer bolt protrusions that standard-depth sockets cannot reach, making this socket particularly suited to applications such as wheel hubs, suspension components, and other assemblies with extended fastener lengths. The 1 inch square drive is sized for use with air, electric, or manual impact wrenches. Each socket is supplied complete with a pin and ring retaining system to secure the drive connection under impact conditions. Draper HI-TORQ® is a registered trademark of Draper Tools Ltd. As a safety note, only impact-rated sockets should be used with air or electric powered wrenches. Chrome vanadium sockets are not suitable for impact use and must never be substituted, as they can shatter and cause personal injury.
