Compressing road springs manually is slow work and carries a significant risk of injury if a spring releases unexpectedly. The Sealey RE300 is an air-operated coil spring compressor with a 1000kg capacity, designed for fast and safe compression of road springs in a professional workshop environment. Actuation is via foot pedal, leaving both hands free to position and guide the workpiece, while a safety locking guard provides essential protection throughout the operation. The upper yoke travels 420mm, and the unit accepts spring diameters from 102mm to 165mm, covering a wide range of spring configurations. Two interchangeable plastic-coated yokes and a suspension strut clamp are supplied as standard, along with a strut locating platform that allows easy movement of the suspension strut to avoid unnecessary lifting. The RE300 operates at a maximum air pressure of 116psi (8bar), with an output pressure range of 6.5-8bar and a safety device set pressure of 8bar. Air line connections require inner 6mm and outer 8mm nominal piping.
