Compressing coil springs without the right equipment is one of the most dangerous tasks in automotive work a slipping spring under load can cause serious injury. The Sealey RE225 is a high quality, European made coil spring compressor kit rated to 1600kg, designed to give workshops and technicians the control and safety margins needed to carry out the job correctly. The kit is supplied with two pairs of drop-forged safety yokes, fitted with polyurethane inserts for improved grip on the spring coils. The yokes are carefully shaped to prevent the coil spring from bowing during compression, reducing the risk of uncontrolled movement. As an additional precaution, a safety restraint wire is included for use in the unlikely event of a spring slipping. The 27mm hex drive and a maximum jaw opening of 335mm make this kit suitable for a wide range of spring sizes. Two pairs of yokes are included: a small pair suitable for spring diameters of 80-120mm and a large pair covering 80-195mm. Please note: spring not included.
