Its ring ends are cranked at 15°, providing the angular clearance needed to work on fasteners where a straight spanner cannot engage cleanly. The spanner follows a long pattern construction and is forged from chrome vanadium steel. It is hardened, tempered, chrome plated and fully polished throughout, delivering the durability and corrosion resistance expected of professional-grade hand tools. Manufactured generally in accordance with DIN 838 specifications, the 55696 offers a recognised standard of dimensional and mechanical conformance. Stock Nos. 55703 to 55708 within the HI-TORQ® range use a bi-hexagon ring profile, whereas this spanner uses the standard cranked ring configuration. HI-TORQ® is a registered trademark of Draper Tools Ltd.
