The Draper XP1000® VDE Slimline Plain Slot Screwdriver addresses this directly with a slimline blade and insulated sheath of the same diameter as the blade, allowing access to recessed screws in confined spaces where conventional screwdrivers cannot reach. Safety credentials are at the core of this tool. Each unit is individually tested to 10,000V and certified for use on live circuits of 1,000V AC and 1,500V DC in accordance with EN 60900. The patented dual-layer insulation is engineered so that any damage to the outer layer is highly visible, providing an immediate and clear alert to the user before work on a live circuit begins. The SCVM steel blade is hardened, tempered, and chemically blackened, with a precision-machined 5.5mm plain slot tip for an exact fit to the screw head, reducing the risk of cam-out and screw damage. The blade measures 125mm in length. The bi-material ergonomic soft-grip handle is designed for versatility: it allows free spinning in the palm for rapid tightening of screws, whilst also enabling the transfer of torque when greater drive force is required. Flat sides on the handle prevent the screwdriver from rolling on work surfaces. This screwdriver carries a Lifetime Warranty and is supplied as a single unit.
