The Sealey PPVT Automotive Test Probe is designed specifically to save time for the automotive electrician and mechanic, connecting directly to the vehicle's own battery and providing 5 metres of cable to reach every corner of the vehicle without repositioning. The probe checks for short circuits and bad earths quickly and easily, and tests continuity and polarity via a flying lead. Crucially, it also indicates the voltage of the system under test covering a range of 2V to 24V using an LED array, making it suitable for both 12V and 24V automotive electrical systems. Components can be powered up prior to installation and checked in situ, enabling fast problem diagnosis without the need for a separate power source. A built-in worklight with touch-sensitive control adds further practical value when working in confined or poorly lit areas of the vehicle.
