Achieving accurate, consistent results on a disc sander depends on a stable platform, a powerful motor, and a table that holds its angle reliably. The Sealey SM31 answers all three. Designed for general woodworking applications, this bench-mounting semi-portable disc sander is built around a 750W induction motor with smooth direct drive, delivering a disc speed of 1450rpm to the 305mm balanced aluminium sanding disc. The aluminium disc is compatible with adhesive-backed sanding discs, and Sealey's own SM31/38 305mm 80-grit PSA discs are available as a consumable. The sanding table measures 156 x 438mm and tilts up to 45°, with a mitre gauge supplied as standard for repeatable angle work. A no-volt load release switch provides an important safety feature, cutting power in the event of a supply interruption and preventing unexpected restart. Dust extraction is catered for via a 52mm extraction port. Powered by 230V mains supply.
