Workshop sanding tasks that demand both belt and disc capability are addressed in a single machine with the Draper 98525 Belt and Disc Sander. Powered by a 500W motor running on 230V, the unit delivers a belt speed of 9.2 m/s and a no-load disc speed of 2,850 rpm, providing consistent material removal across a broad range of sanding applications. The 100 x 914 mm sanding belt can be repositioned across a full 0–90° range, allowing the operator to work with the belt running horizontally or vertically to suit the task at hand. The 200 mm diameter disc is paired with a dedicated worktable measuring 150 x 264 mm and a mitre gauge; the worktable pivots from 0–45° to enable accurate angle sanding. Disc changes are straightforward thanks to the hook and loop retention mechanism. Safety and dust management are integral to the design. A no-volt switch prevents unintended restart after a power interruption, while a dust exhaust port, collection bag and clamp keep the workspace clean. The machine can additionally be connected to an external vacuum for enhanced dust extraction. The sander is designed and manufactured for use on wood and similar materials and must not be used to abrade or grind metal. The unit measures 540 x 370 x 325 mm and weighs 21.5 kg. It is supplied complete with a sanding belt and sanding disc.
