Achieving accurate, repeatable results on a wood lathe demands a machine with the power, speed flexibility, and build quality to handle a wide range of turning jobs. The Sealey SM1308 Wood Lathe delivers a 370W motor driving four selectable turning speeds 850, 1250, 1750, and 2510rpm so you can match the speed to the workpiece and the operation. The maximum turning capacity of 1000 x 350mm between solid head and tail stocks gives you the room to work on substantial pieces, with 350mm turning capacity over the bed and 300mm over the tool rest. The twin bar lathe bed construction provides a rigid, stable platform throughout. A no-volt load release switch prevents the machine from restarting automatically after a mains power interruption, adding an important layer of operator safety. The lathe runs on 230V and is fitted with a non-rewireable 3-pin plug and cable, ready to connect and use. Supplied with a face plate, live and dead centres, and a 305mm tool rest. Thread size is 3/4" x 16tpi. Compatible with AK60/8 accessories.
