Achieving precise, repeatable results in woodturning demands a lathe that offers consistent power, versatile speed control, and enough capacity for both spindle and bowl work. The Sealey SM1100 Wood Lathe delivers on all three. Driven by a smooth-operating 550W induction motor running on 230V, it offers 10 turning speeds from 500 to 2000rpm. The plate clutch allows seamless speed adjustment without stopping the motor or manually changing belts and pulleys, keeping your workflow uninterrupted. With 1100mm between centres and a turning capacity of 370mm over the bed and 270mm over the tool rest, the SM1100 handles a wide range of workpiece sizes. The hollow-centred head and tail stocks allow hole boring, and the one-piece machined lathe bed includes a head stock extension for bowl turning and sanding. The head stock rotates through five preset positions for outboard bowl turning. Supplied with a face plate, live and dead centres, revolving dead centre, tool rest, and wrenches, the SM1100 arrives ready to use, complete with a floor stand and a fitted 3-pin plug and cable. Please note this item is heavy extra assistance must be provided at the delivery point to help ensure safe unloading.
