Conventional drills cannot always reach confined or awkward spaces on the workbench or vehicle. The PCL APT904 is a palm-size mini straight air drill with a 6.5mm (1/4") chuck, designed to allow operator access to small areas often unreachable by standard drill tools. It is part of the PCL air tool range, manufactured in Sheffield since 1938 and supplied by HORNGROUP.
The APT904 is built around a high-power motor delivering a free speed of 6,000 rpm, providing consistent performance across drilling tasks. Its compact and lightweight form — weighing 0.43 kg — gives the operator maximum control, while the rear exhaust design directs airflow away from the work area to keep the working surface clear. The standard 6.5mm chuck accepts conventional drill bits, so no specialist tooling is required.
The tool connects via a 1/4" air inlet and draws 1.68 cfm (47.6 l/min) air consumption, with a maximum hose size of 3/16 in (4.8 mm). Overall length is 120 mm. Sound level is rated at 81 dBa and vibration at 1.5 m/s², both values measured and published in the PCL product catalogue.
