Working in hazardous locations such as fuel storage areas, chemical plants or confined spaces demands lighting equipment that won't trigger an ignition risk. The Sealey HT452IS is an ATEX/IECEx approved intrinsically safe head torch designed specifically for use in these environments. A single 1.8W SMD LED delivers an output of 216 lumens on high and 100 lumens on low, with a working range of up to 100m providing extremely bright, white light exactly where it's needed. A three-mode push-button cycles between high, low and off, giving operating times of 5 hours on high or 12 hours on low from 3 x AAA batteries (not included). The battery compartment is secured with a screw fastener to prevent inadvertent opening in hazardous areas, and a built-in gas release vent is incorporated into the design. The lightweight, tough casing withstands high impacts and drops, and features a wrist lanyard connection point. The adjustable elastic headband fits all head sizes and attaches to a hard hat or worn directly, while the light angle can be adjusted by up to 90° to direct illumination precisely where required.
