A. The 31435000 is a short adaptor set designed for diesel compression testing on VW, Audi, Seat and Skoda diesel engines. It allows the compression gauge hose from a compatible Sykes Pickavant diesel compression tester to connect through the glow plug port without damaging the threads, enabling accurate compression tests to diagnose starting issues, misfires and performance problems.
A. The 31435000 is suitable for use with all Sykes Pickavant 314 Series compression tester kits. It is not compatible with the older 014 Series kits, which require a separate convertor (part number 31429700).
A. The set covers VW, Audi, Seat and Skoda TDI diesel engines in the following displacements: 1.2, 1.4, 1.6, 1.9, 2.0, 2.5, 2.7 and 3.0 TDI.

The set includes three adaptors: part 3142687V2 (M10 x 1.0, for VAG, GM, Chrysler, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Saab); part 31427470V2 (M10 x 1.0, for PSA, GM, VAG, Asian Imports, BMW, Dacia, Honda, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, MINI, Nissan, Renault, Rover and Volvo); and part 31421570V2 (M8 x 1.0, for VAG and Chrysler).
A. Yes. Although the set is marketed for VW group vehicles, the included adaptors also cover a broad range of other makes. The M10 x 1.0 adaptors list compatibility with GM, Chrysler, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Saab, PSA, BMW, Dacia, Honda, Land Rover, MINI, Nissan, Renault, Rover and Volvo, in addition to VAG applications.
