Product Number: 03186870
When a workshop holds an established Sykes Pickavant 318 series hand pump but has transitioned to the newer 315 Series cooling kit system, the two components are not directly compatible out of the box. The Sykes Pickavant 03186870 adaptor resolves this incompatibility, allowing the older 318 series hand pump to be used with 315 Series cooling kits and their associated caps, protecting the existing investment in tooling without requiring a full replacement of the pump.
The adaptor functions as a conversion interface between the two product generations. By fitting this component, 315 Series cooling system caps become compatible with the older 318 series hand pump, bridging the design differences between the two series and restoring full functionality to the cooling system pressure testing or filling setup.
The adaptor measures 63 x 16 x 16 mm and weighs 0.7 kg, making it a compact and easily stored addition to any workshop toolkit. It is designed specifically for use with Sykes Pickavant 318 series hand pumps and 315 Series cooling kits.
This product is part of the wider Sykes Pickavant 315 and 318 series cooling system tooling range, and is intended for workshops operating equipment from both generations of that system.
