Achieving a reliable, leak-free brake pipe flare demands precisely matched tooling. When working with 4.75 mm (3/16 inch) brake pipe — the standard size found across a wide range of passenger vehicles and light commercial applications — using a die block sized and engineered specifically for that diameter is essential to producing a consistent, correctly formed flare. The Sykes Pickavant 02720470 Flaring Die Block Set provides exactly that matched precision.
This die set is designed for use with the Sykes Pickavant Flaremaster2 brake pipe flaring tool. The die block locates and holds the brake pipe securely within the flaring tool, ensuring the pipe is correctly supported during the flaring process to produce an accurate, repeatable result.
The die block is sized at 4.75 mm (3/16 inch) and is supplied in a sheradised finish, which provides corrosion resistance suited to workshop environments. The unit measures 53 mm x 30 mm x 23 mm and weighs 0.15 kg, making it a compact, easily stored addition to a brake flaring kit.
This die set is a dedicated replacement or supplementary block for the Flaremaster2 system. Technicians requiring die blocks for other pipe diameters should ensure they select the appropriate size for their application.
Designed specifically for the Flaremaster2 platform, this die block ensures the correct fit and function that generic alternatives cannot guarantee.
