For panels that lift through a modest arc, the Metrol NS-V-10-150 gives controlled, repeatable support. It is a variable force gas strut with a 150mm stroke extending to 350mm. Rather than a fixed factory setting, its force is adjustable across 70–1200N and tuned to the load on setup; the 39% progression across the stroke keeps motion smooth from closed to fully open. Built on a 10mm QPQ rod in a 21mm powder-coated body, it carries panel weights of 25–140kg per balanced pair and operates across −30°C to +80°C, supplied at maximum force unless otherwise specified. It is used on equipment covers, storage-box lids, machine guards, fold-down benches and other lift-and-hold panels. A threaded end fitting screws onto the rod while a mounting bracket carries the body end, and struts are fitted in pairs for an even, two-sided action that stays put when released. Within the range, its nearest stroke options are NS-V-10-100 and NS-V-10-200; the MLT-10-150 locking tube holds it open; the MPT-10-150 tube shields the rod; a 316 stainless equivalent is available as NS-SS-V-10-150. Every strut is guaranteed for two years, and custom strokes and forces are available on request.
