Soft hoses relax over time; a clip that cannot be re-tensioned simply lets the seal fade with them.
Worm drive clips seal by drawing the band evenly through a captive screw housing, and the HGZ45BP adds the JCS details that make that reliable - a 35-45mm adjustment span, a cold-headed, work-hardened hex screw with rolled threads that will not round off, and fully rounded band edges. Recommended tightening torque for this size is 5.0 Nm (45 lb-in). Manufactured to exceed BS5315, Kitemarked and NATO approved.
The bulk pack of 10 is the stores format for fleets, production and hire equipment running the same size across many machines. The clip itself is unchanged: heavily electro zinc plated and passivated mild steel, EN9227 tested, plated after cutting so even the band's cut edges are coated - for domestic, automotive and industrial duty in non-corrosive conditions.
Also available - the same clip as a retail carton (HGZ45RP); the same clip as a trade bag (HGZ45BG); the 30-40mm size (HGZ40BP); the 35-50mm size (HGZ50BP).
The larger adjustment range per size means one JCS clip covers spans that would take two ordinary nut-and-bolt clamps.

A. It adjusts between 35-45mm. Measure the outside diameter of your hose when fitted over its pipe or fitting - if that measurement falls within 35-45mm, this clip fits. JCS clips offer a larger adjustment range per size than typical nut-and-bolt clamps. In imperial terms that is roughly 1 3/8 to 1 3/4 in, covering common 1 1/2 and 1 3/4 in hose sizes.
A. For this size band JCS publishes a recommended torque of 5.0 Nm (45 lb-in). Work up to it gradually with the clip seated centrally on the barb; going past it risks damaging the hose rather than improving the seal.
A. JCS electro zinc plates and passivates the mild steel band after it is cut to size, so even the cut edges carry coating - and the finish is tested to EN9227. That suits dry and general duty; once salt or standing moisture is involved, the stainless range is the correct specification.
A. JCS advises against zinc plated clips in marine conditions, where they can corrode or seize. For boats and other saltwater environments use Hi-Grip Stainless, which is 18/8 marine-quality 304 stainless steel with Lloyd's Register Type Approval.
