A. The buffer measures 8 mm diameter by 8 mm height with an M3 x 6 mm male stud. It is rated to a maximum load of 15.0 kg with a deflection of 2.0 mm.
A. At 70 Shore A, this is the firmest grade in the 8 x 8 mm Male Flat Buffer range. It carries load with minimal movement — just 2.0 mm of deflection at maximum load — making it suited to applications where the buffered component must be held positively against shock or impact rather than allowed significant travel.
A. This buffer is designed for use on construction equipment, industrial machinery, agricultural equipment, elevators, and commercial vehicles. The 70 Shore A firm grade is particularly appropriate for impact-stop duties and restraint positions where loads must be held firmly within a compact footprint.
A. The rubber-to-metal bonded construction absorbs and dissipates energy when a secondary moving component contacts the buffer face. This cushions the impact, reduces the force transmitted to surrounding structures, improves operator comfort, and helps extend machinery lifespan.
A. Yes. The same 8 x 8 mm M3 geometry is offered in 45 Shore A (0808MFB06-45) and 60 Shore A (0808MFB06-60) for greater deflection or softer isolation. Larger Male Flat Buffers are also available across a range of dimensions — see the product range for full details.
A. Yes. Stainless steel metalwork, oil-resistant rubber compounds, high-temperature rubber compounds, and additional custom sizes are available on request.
