A. The buffer measures 60 mm diameter by 25 mm height with an M10 female thread. It has a maximum load rating of 525 kg and a rated deflection of 6.25 mm at 45 Shore A hardness.
A. At 45 Shore A, this is the softest grade in the flat buffer family. Softer grades yield greater deflection under load and provide better vibration isolation, particularly at lower frequencies or where load levels are moderate. This grade prioritises isolation efficiency over load restraint, making it suited to sensitive equipment and lower-amplitude vibration environments.
A. This buffer is suited to power generation equipment, agricultural machinery, industrial plant, and marine applications where low-frequency or lower-amplitude vibration must be isolated from surrounding structures or sensitive components. It is also used in construction and off-highway, railway and mass transit, and automotive applications where a compliant, high-deflection mount is required.
A. The rubber-to-metal bonded construction allows the buffer to be loaded in shear, compression, or a combination of both. It works by absorbing and dissipating energy, reducing the force transmitted to surrounding structures, cushioning against impact shocks from external moving components, and reducing cyclic stress at mount points.
A. Yes. The 60 x 25 mm M10 format is also available in 60 Shore A (6025FFB10-60) and 70 Shore A (6025FFB10-70) for higher loads or reduced deflection. Larger formats include 100 x 100 mm M16 (100100FFB16) and M16-threaded variants from 100 x 30 mm through to 100 x 60 mm.
A. Yes. Stainless steel metalwork and oil-resistant or high-temperature rubber compounds are available on request, as are additional and custom sizes.
