Q 1. What are the key dimensions and load specification for this bobbin mount?

A. The mount measures 125 mm diameter by 55 mm height (D x H). The male stud thread is M16 with a 44 mm shank length (d1 x L: M16 x 44); the female thread is also M16 (d2: M16). Maximum load is 400 kg with a deflection of 4.7 mm at that load.

Q 2. Why choose the 45 Shore A grade rather than a harder grade?

A. At 45 Shore A, this is the softest grade available for the 125 x 55 mm geometry. Softer rubber produces greater deflection under load and superior vibration isolation, particularly at lower frequencies. It is most appropriate where protecting sensitive equipment or structures takes priority over rigidity or high shock restraint.

Q 3. In what orientations can this mount be installed?

A. The rubber-to-metal bonded construction allows loading in shear, compression, or a combination of both, giving flexibility to suit a range of mounting configurations and installation angles.

Q 4. Which industries and applications are these mounts designed for?

A. Applications include air-conditioning units, exhaust mountings, diesel engines, generator sets, instruments, and industrial machinery and equipment. Industries served include construction and off-highway, agriculture, power generation, marine, railway and mass transit, automotive, and military and defence.

Q 5. Are harder grades of this same mount available?

A. Yes. The 125 x 55 mm M16 male-female mount is also available in 60 Shore A (SKU 12555MF44-60) and 70 Shore A (SKU 12555MF44-70) for applications requiring higher load capacity with less deflection.

Q 6. Are custom material options available for this mount?

A. Yes. Stainless steel hardware and oil-resistant or high-temperature rubber compounds are available on request, along with additional and custom sizes, to suit specialist operating environments.

Q 7. What is your returns policy?

A. We accept returns within 30 days of purchase for items that are unused, undamaged, and in their original packaging. Returns are available only for UK-delivered orders and must include proof of purchase. Before returning an item, please contact us at [email protected] to obtain a Return Merchandise Number (RMN).

Q 8. When will my order be dispatched?

A. In-stock orders placed before 14:30 Monday to Friday are usually dispatched the same day.
