Balancing vibration isolation with dependable structural support, the 4020FF08-60 is a female-female bobbin anti-vibration mount measuring 40 mm diameter by 20 mm height, with M8 threaded inserts at both ends and a 60 Shore A rubber hardness. Rated to a maximum load of 61.0 kg with a deflection of 1.2 mm, this medium-grade mount occupies the practical centre of the bobbin range, offering enough compliance to attenuate vibration effectively whilst retaining the rigidity needed to keep equipment in position under consistent working loads. Rubber-to-metal bonded construction ensures the elastomeric element remains firmly united with its steel end fittings throughout the service life of the mount. The 60 Shore A compound represents the general-purpose grade within the Shore A family: softer grades yield greater deflection and prioritise isolation at lower loads, whilst harder grades prioritise load capacity and restraint. At 60 Shore, the mount suits the broad middle ground, installations where neither extreme isolation nor maximum load-bearing is the sole priority. Custom options including stainless steel metalwork and oil-resistant or high-temperature rubbers are available on request. The mount may be loaded in shear, compression or a combination of both, broadening its suitability across mounting configurations. Typical applications drawn from the family source include generator sets, industrial machinery and equipment, instruments, and diesel engines, settings where moderate vibration levels and mid-range loads characterise normal operation. Female Female Bobbins, also referred to as Type C Bobbins or Type 3 Bobbins are a low cost Anti Vibration Mount, suitable for reducing vibration & shock and a vast array of different applications. They should be used in either Shear or Compression or in a combination, however like all bobbins, not put into tension. Bobbins are available with many different thread Sizes, ranging from M3-M24 and in various lengths. Additional Bobbin Mounts sizes are available on request and can be produced in various grades of Stainless Steel and Oil & High Temperature resistant rubbers.
